DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 40 (Textiles) The effects of pH of the dyeing bath, temp., and concn. of KIO4- a-D-glucose (I) [26655-34-5] redox system on the dyeing of nylon 6 fibers using Telon Red BLL [6245-60-9] and Telon Blue ANL [6408-78-2] dyes were studied. The optimal conditions were 0.0075 M KIO4, 0.75 g/L I, weak acid or neutral dyeing bath, and dyeing temp. 70°. This method could decrease dyeing temp. 25-30° and dyeing time 15-25 min, compared with conventional methods using acid dyes or better leveling disperse dyes.
