Thus, tablets contained tri-Na phosphonoformate 20.0, corn starch 25.0, lactose 190.0, gelatin 1.5, talc 12.0, and Mg stearate 1.5 mg. Further, tri-Na phosphonoformate was converted to the di-Na salt [66706-14-7] by contacting an aq. soln. of the former with Dowex 50 W X 2 in the acid form to attain a pH of 5.35. Similarly, passing a soln. of the tri-Na salt through a column of cyclohexylamine-satd. Dowex 50 W X 2 formed monocyclohexylammonium phosphonoformate [66706-13-6].
