DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemicals) Shredding and spraying honey mequite (Prosopis glandulosa glandulosa) is an effective method of control. Overall, the highest % root mortalities were obtained from treatments applied in May, but shredding and spraying were effective when applied during other mos of the yr, even during the fall and winter. Root mortalities obtained from aq. solns. of either 2,4,5-T trimethylamine salt (I trimethylamine salt) [6369-96-6] or picloram 2,4,5-T mixt. [8068-76-6] during the yr were dependent upon water content and temp. in the upper 15 cm of the soil. Av. root mortalities for all mos were consistently the greatest from picloram plus 2,4,5-T (57%), followed by dicamba [1918-00-9] (34%) and dicamba 2,4,5-T mixt. [39331-44-7] (31%). Root mortalities obtained from I trimethylamine salt (26%) and 2,4,5-T propyleneglycol Bu ether ester [3084-62-6] (25%) were the lowest obtained in the study.
