The structure consists of complete dinuclear Au (II) ylide bridged sym. by planar coordination geometries and are linked by a 2.655(1) ? metal-metal bond. Each Au forms bonds to 2 methylene C atoms of the ylide ligands, with 1 bonded to a Cl ligand, the other to the Se of a pH selenide group. The final R = 0.0342 and Rw = 0.0366 for 3037 reflections.
