DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 34 (Amino Acids, Peptides, and Proteins) threo-b-Hydroxy-DL-aspartic acid was resolved by column chromatog. on an optically active resin contg. L-lysine using an NH4OAc solvent system, whereas erythro-b-hydroxy-DL-aspartic acid was resolved by column chromatog. on a optically active resin contg. L-ornithine using a pyridinium acetate solvent system. The above racemates were resolved on a preparative scale. The above optically active resins were prepd. by esterifying Boc-Lys(Boc)-OH (Boc = Me3CO2C) or Boc-Orn(Boc)-OH with chloromethylated styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer and Boc-deblocking the resulting protected amino acid hydroxymethylated polymer esters by HCl/dioxane. .
