(vapor temp. ￡70°), removing distillate at ~100 mL/h and vapor temp. ￡137° with addn. of xylene to maintain a const. vol. for 3 h, adding 3 g Celite 545 and 20 mL H2O at 90°, distg. H2O azeotropically, filtering, and concg. gave 240 g colorless or very slightly yellowish polyester [65447-77-0] with mol. wt. 5500-6000 and softening point 70°.
