Laser microprobe mass analysis of o-phenylenediamine on asbestos fibers
Laser microprobe mass analysis of o-phenylenediamine on asbestos fibers. De Waele, J. K.; Vansant, E. F.; Adams, F. C. (Dep. Chem., Univ. Antwerp, Wilrijk B-2610, Belg.). Anal. Chim. Acta, 161, 37-51 (English) 1984. CODEN: ACACAM. ISSN: 0003-2670. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 59 (Air Pollution and Industrial Hygiene) Section cross-reference(s): 53, 73 The adsorption behavior of o-phenylenediamine [95-54-5] and its catalytically formed oxidn. products such as 2,3-diaminophenazine [655-86-7] and higher-mol.-wt. compds. on different varieties of asbestos is studied by using laser desorption mass spectrometry. The results prove that amosite adsorbs the product more easily than do crocidolite and anthophyllite [17068-78-9], whereas chrysotile A does not give rise to detectable adsorption, and the adsorption obsd. for chrysotile B is only fair. The method shows potential for the investigation of the surface reactivity of pure and industrially transformed asbestos and other fibrous materials.
Oxidation product of o-phenylenediamine catalyzed by Toxicodendron vernicifera laccase
Oxidation product of o-phenylenediamine catalyzed by Toxicodendron vernicifera laccase. Zhan, Dongfeng; Du, Yumin; Qian, Baogong (Inst. Resourc. Dev. Appl. Sci., Wuhan Univ., Wuchang 430072, Peop. Rep. China). Linchan Huaxue Yu Gongye, 11(1), 13-16 (Chinese) 1991. 95-54-5 and 655-86-7 are also in the experiment. CODEN: LHYGD7. ISSN: 0253-2417. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 45 (Industrial Organic Chemicals, Leather, Fats, and Waxes) Section cross-reference(s): 7, 27 Elemental anal., IR, NMR, and mass spectra, and DTA confirmed that the oxidn. product of o-phenylenediamine catalyzed by Toxicodendron vernicifera laccase was 2,3-diaminophenazine. .
