For example, di(hexadecanoyl)phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidic acid, and cortisol 21-octanoate [6678-14-4] were dissolved in CHCl3 and evapd. to dryness. The product was suspended in phosphate-buffered NaCl soln., and purified by column chromatog. Rabbits with bilateral arthritis syndrome were injected with the compn. and were relieved immediately from high temp. and swollen knee joints for 3 days.
