Thus, a resin useful for prepg. excellent printing plates was prepd. by heating dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate 1260 g at 50° along with Ph3Sb 4.86 and dibutyltin dilaurate 4.86 g, and then adding hydroxyethyl acrylate 541.8 g over 1 h while maintaining the temp. at 50°. Thereafter toluhydroquinone 0.486 g was added, the reaction maintained at 50° for 1 h, then polypropylene glycol 3000 and dibutyltin dilaurate 4.86 g were added along with Dow Corning Antifoam A 3 drops, and the reaction vessel heated to 75° and held for 1 h. After the addn. of MeOH 57 g over 1/2 h, addnl. toluhydroquinone 0.486 g was added and the reaction vessel maintained at 75° for 2.5 h. Thereafter hydroquinone methyl ether 4.86 and 2-ethylanthraquinone 4.86 g dissolved in tetraethylene glycol dimethylacrylate 10.0 g was added to give the final resin compn. .
