DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 36 (Plastics Manufacture and Processing) Nonflammable polyurethane polysemicarbazides are prepd. from P-contg. oligomeric polyesters, diisocyanates, and PhOPS(NHNH2)2. The P-contg. oligoesters with OH end groups were prepd. by polymn. of methylphosphonic acid dichloride [676-97-1] with polytetramethylene glycol [25190-06-1] or diethylene glycol [111-46-6] in 1:2 ratio. The nonflammable oligomeric polyesters are sol. in alc., Me2CO, MeCOEt, and other org. solvents, as well as in water. Prepn. of diethylene glycol methylphosphonate-4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate-phenylthiophosphonic acid dihydrazide copolymer [64449-01-0] and diethylene glycol methylphosphonate-4,4'-diphenylmethanediisocyanate-phenylthiophos phonic acid dihydrazide-polytetramethylene glycol methylphosphonate copolymer [64447-93-4] was described.

DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 35 (Synthetic High Polymers) P-contg. polyesters were prepd. by phosphorylation of oligomeric, OH-terminated polyesters [poly(ethylene fumarate [26099-53-6], poly(1,3-butylene fumarate) [39465-80-0], etc.] with MeP(O)Cl2 [676-97-1] or PhP(O)Cl2 [824-72-6]. The reaction was accompanied by conversion of the terminal PCl groups into POH, and of the terminal COH into CCl. The latter 2 reactions decreased mol. wt. and the degree of phosphorylation of the products. The course of phosphorylation depended little on chem. structure of groups surrounding reaction centers in OH-terminated polyesters and phosphoric dichlorides, but it was affected by exchanging fumaric acid units in the polyesters with chlorendric acid units. The course of phosphorylation apparently was detd. by structure of the aggregates formed on mixing the reactants.
