Polyoxyethylene glyceryl monococoate (GC), di-iso-Pr adipate (DIPA), di-iso-Bu adipate (DIBA), and polyglycerol enhanced the bactericidal activity of CH against Staphylococcus aureus. In the case of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, only DIBA showed a similar effect on bactericidal action. The activity of residual 0.2% CH against S. aureus was stimulated as the concn. of GC or DIPA increased steadily within the range of 0.1 to 0.4%. The bactericidal action of CH was enhanced immediately upon addn. of 0.1% DIBA but the enhancement did not increase beyond this level. .
