- Cobalt(II) chelates of monobasic bidentate O,N-donor ligands. Sharma, Sunita, Mrs. (Department Chemistry, G.R. (P.G.) College, Rampur, India). Himalayan Chemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 14, 1-3 (English) 1997 Himalayan Chemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin. CODEN: HCPBE5. ISSN: 0970-1281. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 78 (Inorganic Chemicals and Reactions) Metal complexes of oxygen and nitrogen donor ligands have drawn considerable interest in recent years in view of their importance as model biol. systems. 69147-39-3 is just another one chemical used in this study. The phenylazo derivs. of acetylacetone, benzoylacetone and dibenzoylmethane exist predominantly in hydrazone form. They form chelates with cobalt(II) through coordination of their hydrazonate nitrogen and one of the acyl oxygen and act as bidentate ligands. IR, EPR, electronic spectra and their magnetic moment data show that these chelates have octahedral geometry. .
