The product [69418-26-4] was a friable gel which was dried and grounded to give a powder. The polymer had intrinsic viscosity 6.18 dL/g and caused flocculation during 27 s in a test with sewage sludge, compared with 2.83 dL/g and 272.1 s, resp., for a polymer prepd. similarly but in the absence of Na2SO4.10H2O.
