DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 35 (Synthetic High Polymers) Reactivity ratios for acrylonitrile (I) [107-13-1]-vinyl chloroacetate systems were detd. for radical copolymn. at 60.degree. in DMF. The values of these ratios calcd. by the linear graphical method of Kellen and Tudos were as follows: r1 = 4.05 .+-. 0.1 and r2 = 0.001 .+-. 0.001 for I-vinyl monochloroacetate [2549-51-1], r1 = 7.0 .+-. 0.25 and r2 = 0.05 .+-. 0.015 for I-vinyl dichloroacetate [7561-04-8], r1 = 7.13 .+-. 0.25 and r2 = 0.06 .+-. 0.015 for I-vinyl trichloroacetate [7062-87-5]. The penultimate model of the copolymn. and the effect of the vinyl chloroacetate structure were discussed.
