Cyclodextrins, 5th, 332-8. Edited by: Duchene, Dominique. Ed. Sante: Paris, Fr. (English) 1990. CODEN: 57LSAJ. DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 33 (Carbohydrates) A symposium on the interaction of indomethacin and sodium indomethacin with both b-cyclodextrin and hydroxypropyl-b-cyclodextrin. The characterization of solid state materials, using DSC anal., indicated the possible existence of complexes. Meanwhile, NMR proton studies, performed at very high magnetic field, allowed to prove the 1/1 inclusion compd. in the case of sodium indomethacin; and clearly showed that indomethacin (acid) does not become included in cyclodextrins in aq. media. The assocn. const. derived from the Benesi-Hildebrand method was calcd. for the sodium indomethacin/b-cyclodextrin complex and was found relatively low. .
