Some model cyclization reactions lead to 5-membered ring derivs. II (X = O, R = Br, X = S, R = Cl) instead of analogs of I.In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 88369-29-3 and 7154-66-7 Easy transformations of the tetrahydro congener of I into the 11a-hydroxy deriv. (III) was obsd. III rearranged further into a spiro compd. and then into 3-(2-aminobenzamido)-2-piperidinone. .
