The photostabilized films under Florida weather conditions remained unchanged for 33 mo vs. 4-5 mo for unstabilized films. The highest weathering resistance was obtained for films stabilized with 0.75-1% Chimasorb 944.

The oligomeric stabilizers had good compatibility with the fibers and good extn. resistance, thus showing good stability in laundering or dry cleaning. Other stabilizers included were HALS1 [52829-07-9], HALS2 [70198-29-7], and HALS3 [71878-19-8].
