Thus, oxalyl chloride [79-37-8] was reacted with diphenylamine [122-39-4] in the presence of AlCl3 in CH2Cl2 and the intermediate 1-phenylisatin [723-89-7] was treated with sym-diphenylurea [102-07-8] to give I. Polymn. of I and II at 185.degree. for 3 h gave a polymer (III) [62820-45-5] with glass transition temp. 355.degree.. Cast III films aged at 300.degree. for 600 h showed little wt. loss.
