Production method of this chemical: The Silane,dichloromethyl(3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,8-tridecafluorooctyl)- could be obtained by the reactants of dichloro-methyl-silane and 1H,1H,2H-tridecafluoro-oct-1-ene. This reaction needs the reagent of H₂PtCl₆*6H₂O, and the solvent of propan-2-ol. The yield is 85 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken for 18 hours at the temperature of 100 °C.

Uses of this chemical: The (1H,1H,2H,2H-tridecafluoro-octyl)(methyl)difluorosilane could be obtained by the reactant of Silane,dichloromethyl(3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,8-tridecafluorooctyl)-. This reaction needs the reagent of 40percent HF, and the solvent of diethyl ether and ethanol. The yield is 90 %. This reaction should be taken at the ambient temperature.
