DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 53 (Mineralogical and Geological Chemistry) The Bosworgey granite cusp forms an apical portion of the concealed northern extension of the Tregonning-Godolphin granite ridge. It is characterized by unusually high concns. of B, P, Mn, Fe, As, Cu, Nb, Ta, Bi, Sn, W, U, and S (present largely as tourmaline, apatite, pyrite, arsenopyrite, chalcopyrite, native Bi, columbite, casiterite, wolframite, and uraninite) and low levels of Zr, Hf, Ti, and rare earths in zircon, ilmenite, and monazite. The granite is classified as Sn- and W-specialized (as defined by G. Tischendorf, 1974) and belongs to ilmenite series. The classification proposed by B. W. Chappell and A. 7440-20-2 and 7440-29-1 which are cas registry numbers of chemicals are mentioned. J. R. White (1974) is inapplicable to Cornubian rocks. The accessory mineral assemblages are typical of high-temp. lodes (cassiterite, wolframite, arsenopyrite, chalcopyrite) and the assemblage is the cusp analog of hypothermal lodes produced by extreme differentiation and concn. of volatiles. Such granites could provide the parent material for mesothermal crosscourse mineralization (pitchblende, native Bi, pyrite, galena, sphalerite). .

When Hf or Y are used, decreases in neutron irradn.-induced swelling are obtained. A typical Fe alloy [88120-58-5] contains Ni 25.04, Cr 7.57, Mo 1.02, Si 0.96, Mn 0.21, Zr 0.056, Ti 3.2, Al 1.59, C 0.056, and Hf 0.35%. .
