The polymn. rate of the alkenylchlorosilanes decreased in the order: I x III > II > IV. Polymn. of alkenylchlorosilanes was characterized by high chain termination. Oligomeric alkenylchlorosilanes were viscous liqs. or powders sol. in CH2Cl2, but insol. in C7H16. A temporary polymn. mechanism was proposed. .
