DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 35 (Chemistry of Synthetic High Polymers) An attempt was made to copolymerize cyclopentene oxide with cyclohexene oxide using 4-(phenylthio)phenyldiphenylsulfonium hexafluorophosphate as a cationic photoinitiator. A random copolymer was obtained.Several substances with their cas registry numbers 285-67-6 and 75482-18-7 may be metioned in this study. By employing the Kelen-Tudos method, a good linear plot with monomer reactivity ratios of 2.451 and 1.603 for cyclohexene oxide and cyclopentene oxide, resp., was obtained. The C13-NMR spectra of the homopolymers were discussed for comparison purposes. .
