DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) The effect of time of application of 2 triazole and 2 nontriazole growth regulators in the absence of fungicides, on disease, growth and yield of oilseed rape cv. Jet Neuf were examd. Light leaf spot (Pyrenopeziza brassicae) was the only disease of consequence, and became severe on leaves, stems and pods. In comparison to unsprayed controls the triazoles triapenthenol [76608-88-3] and BAS 11100W [80553-79-3] both reduced crop height and disease on leaves, stems, pedicels and pods and increased yields. Timing of application affected the level of disease control. A single application of either of the triazoles gave best overall disease control and highest yields.There are some commonly used reagents with their cas registry numbers 76608-88-3 and 70781-01-0 in this article. A comparison of effects of the nontriazole growth regulators daminozide [1596-84-5] and Terpal [70781-01-0] indicated that changes in crop height and structure affected disease severity; disease was more severe when crop height was reduced. Irresp. of treatment, increasing amts. of disease on the pods resulted in a proportionally significant redn. in seed wt. and no. per pod. There was a further significant decrease in yield components when infection occurred on both pedicels and pods. .
