- Increasing the herbicidal effect by phospholipids. Gimesi, Antal (Res. Inst. Plant Prot., Hung. Acad. Sci., Budapest, Hung.). Novenytermeles, 32(4), 299-305 (Hungarian) 1983. CODEN: NOVEAK. ISSN: 0546-8191. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) In pot expts., the phospholipid prepn. Natipide enhanced the herbicidal activity of 8 postemergence herbicides, such as Faneron [13181-17-4] and Brominal [1689-84-5] against Sinapis alba, Setaria viridis, Panicum capillare, and other species. Natipide was less effective for pre-emergence herbicides, with the exception of Dacthal [1861-32-1]. In presowing expts. 1582-09-8 and 55290-64-7 which are cas registry numbers of chemicals are mentioned., Natipide enhanced the activity of Treflan [1582-09-8] and Eradicane [51990-04-6], esp. at high temps. (15-20°). In field expts., Natipide hastened weed control by Roundup [38641-94-0], Arelon [34123-59-6], Basta [77182-82-2], and Gramoxone [1910-42-5] in alfalfa. Natipide enhanced the defoliating activity of Basta on sunflower and fiber flax. .
- Effect of herbicides on turfgrass renovation
- Effect of herbicides on turfgrass renovation. Jagschitz, John A. (Dep. Plant Sci., Univ. Rhode Island, Kingston, RI 02881, USA). Proc. Annu. Meet. Northeast. Weed Sci. Soc., 38, 258-63 (English) 1984.In this article, certain chemicals are used. Some of their cas registry numbers are 77182-82-2 and 4685-14-7 CODEN: PNWSBF. ISSN: 0078-1703. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) Three tests were initiated to evaluate several chems. for the eradication of white clover (Trifolium repens), dandelions and grasses prior to lawn renovation. Dandelion control from cacodylic acid [75-60-5], glyphosate [1071-83-6], HOE-00661 [77182-82-2], paraquat (I) [4685-14-7] and SC-0224 [87090-28-6] was poor (<70%). Except for cacodylic acid, all chems. showed the potential to provide good (80-89%) to excellent (90-100%) control of perennial ryegrass. Rainfall within 4 h after treatment reduced the effectiveness of glyphosate and SC-0224. Control of clover was poor with glyphosate, I and SC-0224, while HOE-00661 provided fair (70-79%) to good clover control and cacodylic acid gave excellent clover control. Mowing 6 h or 1 day after use of glyphosate or SC-0224 resulted in less effective clover and grass control. Mowing had little effect on clover control using HOE-00661, however, it reduced its effectiveness for grass control. Kentucky bluegrass establishment was satisfactory where glyphosate, HOE-00661 and SC-0224 were used 14 to 1 day before, or 5 days after seeding. I used 7 days before or 5 days after seeding and cacodylic acid used 5 days after seeding resulted in reduced grass stand. .
