- Anionic activator function in cationic flotation of hematite
- Anionic activator function in cationic flotation of hematite. Wei, Tien Lin; Smith, Ross W. (Mackay Sch. Mines., Univ. Nevada, Reno, NV, USA). Reagents Miner. Ind., Pap., 41-5. Edited by: Jones, Michael J.; Oblatt, R. Inst. Min. Metall.: London, UK. (English) 1984. CODEN: 52VYAI. DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 54 (Extractive Metallurgy) In the cationic flotation of hematite [1317-60-8] with multivalent anionic substances as activators, the charged protonated species are esp. active at pH values more basic that the hematite point of zero charge. The depressing action is greatest when the modifier is present in the protonated form. Anionic modifiers studied were H2SO4, H2CrO4 [7738-94-5], H2SeO3 [7783-00-8], H2TeO4 [13520-55-3], L-ascorbic acid [50-81-7], succinic acid [110-15-6], and citric acid [77-92-9].
