DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 18 (Animal Nutrition) In tests of P absorption from KH2PO4 [7778-77-0], K2HPO4 [7758-11-4], K3PO4 [7778-53-2], NaH2PO4 [7558-80-7], Na2HPO4 [7558-79-4], NH4H2PO4 [7722-76-1], and (NH4)2HPO4 [7783-28-0] by the intestinal segments of chickens, K2HPO4 and K3PO4 were best absorbed by the duodenum (58.67 and 58.72% by 1 h and 82.75 and 77.65% by 3 h, resp.). Retentions of P varied from 81.8 (NaH2PO4) to 89.5% (K3PO4).
