By using the method of differences in heat of transfer, .DELTA.Ht, of ions from Me2SO into H2O, the .DELTA.Hs and .DELTA.Ht values of MClO4 and MClO3, where M = alkali metal, were evaluated.

The values of .DELTA.H of these salts at infinite diln. were calcd. By using literature values for the differences in heats of transfer of alkali metal cations between H2O and formamide (V., 1972), the values of .DELTA.H for NaClO3, RbClO3, NaClO4, LiClO4, RbClO4, and CsClO4 in formamide were also calcd. For all salts, the values of .DELTA.H in formamide are more neg. than those in H2O. .
