- Composition and method for removing nickel, nickel-iron, and nickel-iron-cobalt coatings from metal substrates. Lash, Ronald Joseph; Harbulak, Edward Paul (M and T Chemicals Inc., USA). Ger. Offen. DE 2635295 24 Feb 1977, 24 pp. (German). (Germany). CODEN: GWXXBX. CLASS: IC: C23G005-00. PRIORITY: US 75-602140 5 Aug 1975. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 56 (Nonferrous Metals and Alloys) Ni, Ni-Fe, and Ni-Fe-Co coatings contg. 5-90% Fe are selectively removed from metal surfaces by using an aq. stripping soln. contg. org. nitro compd. 0.015-2.2, org. amine or polyamine 0.015-78, and phosphate-contg. compd. 0.13-5.0 mole/L. Thus, an aq. stripping soln. was prepd. from m-nitrobenzoic acid [121-92-6] 0.5, ethylenediamine [107-15-3] 2.9, and K2HPO4 [7778-77-0] 1.2 mole/L. A steel substrate coated with an 8.mu. thick Ni-Fe electrodeposited coating [12783-26-5] contg. 50% Fe was immersed in the stripping soln. 90 min at 80.degree.. This treatment completely removed the coating, leaving a clean unetched surface. A phosphate-free stripping soln. contg. only m-nitrobenzoic acid and ethylenediamine failed to remove the Ni-Fe coating.
- Tritium fractionation in the crystallization of several phosphates from their aqueous solutions
- Tritium fractionation in the crystallization of several phosphates from their aqueous solutions. Tanaka, Haruhiko; Sanno, Masami; Negita, Hisao (Fac. Educ., Hiroshima Univ., Hiroshima, Japan). J. Inorg. Nucl. Chem., 38(10), 1874-5 (English) 1976. CODEN: JINCAO. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 70 (Nuclear Phenomena) The fractionation of T was studied in the crystn. of Na2HPO4.12H2O [10039-32-4], NaH2PO4.2H2O, and KH2PO4 [7778-77-0] from slightly supersatd. aq. soln. contg. 10039-32-4 and 10028-17-8 are also in the experiment. a trace of HTO. There is, if at all, only a slight enrichment of HTO in the H2O of crystn. of Na2HPO4.12H2O. NaH2PO4.2H2O is subject to a small diln. of T in the crystn., and T is considerably dild. in the KH2PO4 crystal. .
