The 3 solns. isolated CPR in the fraction of sp. gr. £1.6 and the amt. of org. C was 310% of the total org. C of the sample. The distribution ratios of the org. C in the fraction of sp. gr. £1.6 were almost the same in the 3 solns. Consideration of the environmental effect of Hg compds. and high viscosity of the ZnCl2 soln. recommended the Na polytungstate soln. as the heavy solns. for the isolation of CPR.Except for chemicals metioned above, 7783-33-7 and 12141-67-2 are also used. .
