VINITI (Russian) 1982. DOCUMENT TYPE: Report CA Section: 53 (Mineralogical and Geological Chemistry) The viscosity, d., n, sp. elec. cond., and the enthalpy, free energy, and entropy of activation of viscous flow, resp., detd. of bischofite [13778-96-6] from the Volgograd deposit are: 5.426-21.37 cP, 1.312-1.327 g/cm3, 1. 13778-96-6 and 7786-30-3 which are cas registry numbers are also used here.422-1.427, 4.19-8.93, 21.8 kJ/mol, 21.1 kJ/mol, and -0.7 kJ/mol; corresponding values were also detd. of aq. solns. of MgCl2. In high-concn. solns. of bischofite (and MgCl2), viscous flow is detd. by the redistribution of H bonds which are not bonded by the ions of H2O mols. The elec. cond. values of the bischofite and MgCl2 are similiar, indicating that the elec. cond. of the solns. is detd. by Mg2+ and Cl- ions. .
