Thus, a vibration mill equipped with 2 pulverizing pots contg. steel balls was charged with a mixt. of 20 g MgCl2, 2 mL MeC(OEt)3 [78-39-7], and 4 mL ClCH2CH2Cl and the mixt. was pulverized for 40 h; 20 g of this pulverized substance and 100 mL TiCl4 was stirred at 80° for 2 h. After repeated decantation washing with n-heptane (II), a slurry of A (Ti 1.78 wt.%) in 200 mL II was obtained.Several substances with their cas registry numbers 7550-45-0 and 7782-44-7 may be metioned in this study. Half of the A slurry was stirred with 100 mL II contg. 2.3 ′ 10-3 M O2 for 1 h. Polymn. of 1.5 kg liq. propylene in an autoclave with 1.6 L H2, using 30 mg O2-treated A, 0.20 mL Et3Al [97-93-8], 0.14 mL Me p-toluate [99-75-2], and 0.24 mL Et2AlCl [96-10-6] in 50 mL II at 75° for 3 h yielded I of h 1.78 dL/g and isotactic index 95.6 with 5620 g/g catalyst-h activity. The same polymn. using A not treated with O2 gave I of the corresponding values of 1.58, 95.9, and 3667. .

The product was treated 30 min at 50° with 10 mL diethylene glycol monoisopropyl ether [5412-01-1] and then with propylene to give 97% copolymer of ethylene content 4.2% and intrinsic viscosity 1.61.
