Water-sol. monomers such as acrylic acid [79-10-7], methacrylic acid [79-41-4], acrylamide [79-06-1], and methacrylamide [79-39-0] gave bonded polymers regardless of the polymn. systems used. A mechanistic discussion was presented focusing to the early initiation stage of the polymn. The polymn. of I with acrylic and methacrylic acid esters showed different monomer conversions even at similar Q-e values of monomers.
