A methodology for the determination and confirmation of Fenson residues in plant crops. Di Muccio, A.; Dommarco, R.; Vergori, L.; Camoni, I. (Lab. Tossicol. Appl., Ist. Super. Sanita, Rome 00161, Italy). Rass. Chim., 35(6), 373-80 (Italian) 1983. CODEN: RACHAG. ISSN: 0033-9334. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 17 (Food and Feed Chemistry) Fenson [80-38-6] residues were extd. from crops with acetone and, after partitioning into CH2Cl2, the ext. was purified by Florisil column chromatog. The column was eluted with a hexane-CH2Cl2-acetonitrile. Identification and detn. were carried out by electron-capture gas chromatog. (GC) on an OV 17 + QF 1 column. Confirmation of residues was performed by TLC/GC and by TLC-GC/mass spectrometry. Mean recovery of Fenson residues from apples was 87,8%, with a variation coeff. of 5,8%.
