DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 40 (Textiles) In single-bath dyeing of polyester-wool blends with Resolin Scarlet 3GL [12236-15-6], Resolin Orange 3GL [56509-55-8], or Resolin Brilliant Yellow 6GFL [80748-21-6] in the presence of carrier Levegal PT [23287-26-5] at concns. 2-8 g/L, the max. dyeing intensity of polyester fibers (at old dye concns.) was obtained at the carrier concn. 5 g/L. In dyeing the polyester-wool blends with Synten Blue P-RL [62996-32-1], Synten Scarlet P-3GL [12217-86-6], Resolin Blue FBL [12217-79-7], and Resolin Red FRL [58051-98-2] the dyeing intensity of polyester fibers increased with increasing carrier concn. The carrier Palanil-carrier AN [55126-38-0] was less effective in improving dyeing intensity of polyester fibers than Levegal PT. No consistent results were obtained in investigation of the effect of carrier concn. on wool reservation in the blends, apparently as a result of soiling the wool with different intensities by different dyes.
