Molecular-optical viscometer based on fluorescence depolarization
Molecular-optical viscometer based on fluorescence depolarization. Some chemicals with cas registry numbers like 112-40-3 and 64-17-5 are also used. Williams, Angela M.; Ben-Amotz, Dor (Dep. Chem., Purdue Univ., West Lafayette, IN 47907, USA). Anal. Chem., 64(6), 700-3 (English) 1992. CODEN: ANCHAM. ISSN: 0003-2700. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 65 (General Physical Chemistry) Section cross-reference(s): 73 A micro-anal. mol.-optical viscometer is based on the correlation of fluid viscosity with the steady state fluorescence depolarization of a tracer dye. This instrument is used for the measurement of viscosites in a variety of non-polar and assocd. pure liqs. and liq. mixts. over a viscosity range of 0.5 cP < h < 150 cP. The tracer dye BTBP (N,N-bis(2,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)-3,4,9,10-perylenedicarboximide, [83054-80-2]) used in this device is dissolved in the fluid at a concn. of less than 10-6 M. Extensions of this technique to higher viscosity are discussed. .
Carrier transport in a three-layered electroluminescent device
Carrier transport in a three-layered electroluminescent device. Ohmori, Yutaka; Tada, Norio; Yoshida, Masayoshi; Fujii, Akihiko; Yoshino, Katsumi (Fac. Eng., Osaka Univ.Chemicals with cas numbers 123863-98-9 and 83054-80-2 also play role., Suita 565, Japan). Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 29(12), 2983-2987 (English) 1996 Institute of Physics Publishing. CODEN: JPAPBE. ISSN: 0022-3727. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 73 (Optical, Electron, and Mass Spectroscopy and Other Related Properties) Section cross-reference(s): 22, 38, 76 The carrier transport mechanism was studied in a 3-layered electroluminescent (EL) device, which consists of poly(9,9-dialkylfluorene), diamine and perylene derivs. The time response of EL emission in the 3-layered device is completely different for the cases of driving by a forwards- or a reverse-bias field. Under the forwards-bias condition, it shows a slow response, whereas there is a fast response under the reverse-bias condition. Mean carrier mobilities were estd. from the response time of emission. Mobility under the forwards-bias condition increases with increasing applied field, whereas that under the reverse-bias condition remains const. and larger than that under the forwards-bias condition. .
