The compds. 84460-89-9 and 835-31-4 are also in the experiment. were detected at 265 nm, and the mean relative std. deviation was 1.2-1.33%. The method was generally more reproducible than Na nitroprusside colorimetry. The method can sep. both compds. from their degrdn. products. .

The alc. hydrolysis product, N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1-naphthamide [84460-89-9] was further hydrolyzed with acids to 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthoic acid [1914-65-4] and ethylenediamine [107-15-3].
