Amperometric determination of the solubility product of neodymium and gadolinium oxalates in a sodium perchlorate medium
Amperometric determination of the solubility product of neodymium and gadolinium oxalates in a sodium perchlorate medium. Gordienko, V. I.; Zhuravlev, E. F.; Sidorenko, V. I.; Aznaeva, A. M. (USSR). Issled. Obl. Khim. Redkozem. Elem., 89-90.There are some reagents with their cas registry numbers 1186-50-1 and 867-64-1 are used in this study. Edited by: Nikurashina, N. I.; Pirkes, S. B. Sarat. Gos. Univ.: Saratov, USSR. (Russian) 1975. CODEN: 34PWA8. DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 68 (Phase Equilibriums, Chemical Equilibriums, and Solutions) At 25.degree. and ionic strength 1.0(NaClO4), the soly. products for Nd2(C2O4)3 and Gd2(C2O4)3 are 6.4 .times. 10-28 and 2.7 .times. 10-26, resp., taking into account the formation of sol. 1:1 and 1:2 (metal:oxalate) complexes. .

C.; Praharaj, J.; Bhatta, D. (Department of Chemistry, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar 751004, India). Radiation Effects and Defects in Solids, 157(4), 375-386 (English) 2002 Taylor & Francis Ltd. CODEN: REDSEI. ISSN: 1042-0150. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 74 (Radiation Chemistry, Photochemistry, and Photographic and Other Reprographic Processes) Section cross-reference(s): 78 Thermal decompn. of co-pptd. unirradiated and irradiated Ca-Gd oxalate has been studied by adopting DTA and thermogravimetric (TG) techniques. The reaction occurs through two stages corresponding to the decompn. of gadolinium oxalate (Gd-Ox) followed by that of calcium oxalate (Ca-Ox). The kinetic parameters for both stages are calcd. by using solid state reaction models and Coats-Redfern's equation. The co-pptn. as well as irradn. alter the DTA peak temps. and the kinetic parameters of Ca-Ox. The decompn. of Gd-Ox follows the two dimensional contracting area (R2) mechanism, while that of Ca-Ox follows the Avrami-Erofeev (A2) mechanism (n = 2), which are also exhibited by the co-pptd. and irradiated samples. Co-pptn. decreases the energy of activation and the pre-exponential factor of the individual components but the reverse phenomenon takes place upon irradn. of the co-ppt. The mechanisms underlying the phenomena are explored. .
