- Dinitrile, diamine, diacid phosphonates, their preparation and use in polycondensation reactions. Sturtz, Georges; Clement, Jean C. (Fr. ). Ger. Offen. DE 2626042 23 Dec 1976,13 pp. (German). (Germany). CODEN: GWXXBX. CLASS: IC: C07F009-40. PRIORITY: FR 75-18179 10 Jun 1975. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 35 (Synthetic High Polymers) Section cross-reference(s): 29 Manuf. of the monomers (RO)2P(O)CH(CH2A)CH2CH2A (R = alkyl, alkylene; A = CN, CO2H, CH2NH2) and their polycondensation are described. Thus, adding .apprx.25 drops satd. NaOMe soln. to 42.4 g 2-hexenedinitrile [13042-02-9] and 55.2 g HPO(OEt)2 [868-85-9] and stirring 1 h at room temp. gives 70 g (EtO)2P(O)CH(CH2CN)CH2CH2CN (I) [61921-66-2]. 61910-66-5 and 61921-63-9 are cas registry numbers of chemicals which are used as reagents here. Stirring 10 g I and 2 g Raney Ni W-2 in 200 mL NH3-satd. EtOH 2 h at 90.degree./80 atm H gives 40% (EtO)2P(O)CH(CH2CH2NH2)CH2CH2CH2NH2 (II) [61910-65-4] and 60% secondary amine (III) [61921-67-3]. Adding 1.74 g TDI in 25 mL CCl4 slowly to 2.52 g II in 100 mL CCl4 stirred at 20-45.degree. and stirring 5 min gives polyurea [61944-26-1], intrinsic viscosity (DMF, 30.degree.) 0.08 dL/g. .

- Effect of dialkyl phosphites on the fire resistance of irradiated polyethylene. Agre, B. A.; Vasilenko, E. A.; Gvozdyukevich, I. F.; Rumyantsev, V. D.; Nifant'ev, E.Several reagents with their cas registry numbers 9002-88-4 and 1309-64-4 are used here. E. (USSR). Plast. Massy, (2), 59 (Russian) 1977. CODEN: PLMSAI. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 36 (Plastics Manufacture and Processing) The self-extinguishing properties of polyethylene (I) [9002-88-4] contg. dialkyl phosphites are improved on addn. of Sb2O3 and chlorinated paraffin. Addn. of di-Me phosphite [868-85-9] and di-Bu phosphite [1809-19-4] increased the fire resistance of the polymer on .gamma.-irradn. which was related to an increased compatibility of the fireproofing agents in I on irradn. .
