- Liquid diene polymers containing amino or imino groups. (Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd., Japan). Jpn. Kokai Tokkyo Koho JP 59122502 A2 16 Jul 1984 Showa, 5 pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. CLASS: IC: C08C019-22. APPLICATION: JP 82-227510 28 Dec 1982. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 39 (Synthetic Elastomers and Natural Rubber) The title polymer was prepd. by the reaction of liq. diene polymers contg. a hydroxyl group, carboxyl group or halogen with a compd. having an amino or imino group, hydroxyl or carboxyl group which can react with the functional group of the polymer, or halogen. The reaction is preferably conducted in the presence of H2SO4 or org. sulfonic acid as catalyst. The product is an intermediate for manuf. of polyurethanes with improved mech. properties and heat resistance. In an example, a mixt. of OH-contg. liq. polybutadiene (av. mol. wt. 3000; contg. 0.82 mequiv./g OH groups; viscosity 50 P at 30°) 300, Et o-aminobenzoate [87-25-2] 49.3, concd. H2SO4 0.3, and p-quinone 0.3 parts was heated 1 h at 80° and an addnl. 8 h at 90° in vacuo to remove the EtOH formed during the reaction to give an NH2-contg. liq. polybutadiene with viscosity 170 P at 30°.
- Quality control of sweet orange juice by gas-liquid chromatography of volatile constituents
- Quality control of sweet orange juice by gas-liquid chromatography of volatile constituents. Pino, J.; Tapanes, R.; Rosado, A.; Baluja, R. (Dep. Fruit Veg., Natl. Cent. Sci. Res., Havana, Cuba). Proc. Int. 13466-78-9 and 110-39-4 which are cas registry numbers are also used here. Soc. Citric., Volume Date 1981, 2, 936-9 (English) 1983. CODEN: PICIDM. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 17 (Food and Feed Chemistry) The isolation and identification of 60 volatiles in sweet orange juice, including 4 new constituents: 2-hexanol [626-93-7], b-terpineol [138-87-4] ethyl anthranilate [87-25-2], and tetradecanal [124-25-4], involved chem. sepns., chromatog., and spectroscopic techniques. The relations between sensory scores and gas chromatog. data were studied by multiple regression anal. The high F-values and correlation coeffs. obtained for several of the regression models reported herein indicate that for quality control purposes the aroma quality of sweet orange juice could be predicted from the relative quantities of some volatile compds. measured by gas chromatog. .
