- Interaction of dinitramine and dinoseb with Cylindrocladium crotalariae and the Cylindrocladium black rot (CBR) disease of peanut. Barron, J. A.; Phipps, P. M. (Dep. Plant Pathol. Physiol., Tidewater Res. 15972-60-8 and 29091-05-2 are cas registry numbers. These chemicals are also mentioned in this article. Continuing Educ. Cent., Suffolk, VA 23437, USA). Peanut Sci., 10(2), 101-6 (English) 1983. CODEN: PNTSBY. ISSN: 0095-3679. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) Axenic growth by C. crotalariae in potato dextrose broth was suppressed significantly by dinoseb [88-85-7], at 50 and 100 mg/mL, and Dyanap [8075-57-8] (dinoseb + naptalam), at 100 mg/mL. High concns. of either dinitramine [29091-05-2] or alachlor [15972-60-8] suppressed growth of only 1 of 2 C. crotalariae isolates tested. Benefin, diphenamid, vernolate, and 2,4-DB, at £100 mg/mL, failed to have similar effects on growth of either isolate. Dinitramine, at £100 mg/g soil, had no effect on survival of C. crotalariae microsclerotia (ms) in a Ruston or a Woodstown loamy fine sand. Dinoseb reduced ms populations significantly in Woodstown soil, at 5, 10, 50 and 100 mg/g soil, and in Ruston soil, at 50 and 100 mg/g soil. Soil type, inoculum d., and herbicide dosage were important interacting factors affecting CBR development in peanut. Greenhouse and field tests implicated dinitramine, at 0.56 kg/ha, and dinoseb, at 1.68 kg/ha, as herbicide treatments which can increase the severity of CBR in Florigiant peanut. .

Best quackgrass control was obtained with dinoseb-dalapon mixt. [64043-25-0] (5 + 5.6 kg/ha) and metribuzin-CGA-82725 mixt. [89421-42-1]. Wild radish (Raphanus raphanistrum) was controlled by metribuzin [21087-64-9] and dinoseb [88-85-7]. .
