Thus, reaction of 2,4,5-Cl3C6H2NO2 [89-69-0] with HOCH2CH2SH [60-24-2], oxidn. of the resultant 5,2,4-Cl(HOCH2CH2S)2C6H2NO2 [91812-97-4] to 5,2,4-Cl(HOCH2CH2SO2)2C6H2NO2 [91812-98-5], redn. to 5,2,4-Cl(HOCH2CH2SO2)2C6H2NH2 [91812-99-6], diazotization, coupling with 3-ClC6H4N(CH2CH2OH)2 [92-00-2], and sulfation gave the K salt [91813-00-2] of I [R = HO3SOCH2CH2, R1 = Cl, R2 = C6H3[N(CH2CH2OSO3H)2]Cl-4,2], a bluish red dye.Except for chemicals metioned above, 89-69-0 is also used. .
