Sorption of copper(II) by some complexing agents loaded on various supports. Terada, Kikuo; Matsumoto, Ken; Kimura, Hitoshi (Fac. Sci., Kanazawa Univ., Kanazawa 920, Japan). Anal. Chim. Acta, 153, 237-47 (English) 1983. CODEN: ACACAM. ISSN: 0003-2670.Several reagents with their cas registry numbers 9002-83-9 and 149-30-4 are used here. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 61 (Water) Section cross-reference(s): 79 Cu(II) are sorbed on and desorbed from 2-mercaptobenzothiazole [149-30-4], 2-mercaptobenzimidazole [583-39-1], and 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadizole [1072-71-5] loaded on silica gel, activated C and polytrifluorochloroethylene [9002-83-9] powder. The sepns. are compared with those based on pptn. or extn. with these reagents. Columns of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole and 2-mercaptobenzimidazole on silica gel are particularly efficient for quant. sorption of Cu(II) from aq. solns. at very high flow rates. Silica gel-2-mercaptobenzothiazole is the most useful, as it reacts at pH 4.0, instead of pH 6.0 for 2-mercaptobenzimidazole. Silica gel-2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole removed Cu from highly acidic solns., but silica gel adsorbed this ligand only poorly, so that column capacity was severely restricted. .

Measurement of chlorofluorocarbon oils for the development of high hydrostatic pressures. Kisel'nik, V. V.In this study,9002-83-9 is also used. (Khar'k. Aviatsion. Inst., Kharkov, USSR). Prib. Tekh. Eksp., (6), 188-90 (Russian) 1983. CODEN: PRTEAJ. ISSN: 0032-8162. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 51 (Fossil Fuels, Derivatives, and Related Products) Section cross-reference(s): 38, 73 The d., viscosity, glass point (at various pressures) and temp. of spin-spin relaxation of poly(chlorotrifluorethylene) (I) [9002-83-9] fluids (mol. wt. 340-1025) make them suitable for use as hydraulic fluids and in NMR studies. These I are stable at -170° to +250°, resist oxidn., are not attacked by acids, and are nontoxic. Their glass point increases linearly with pressure. .
