The particles were used to pack a column, and a pH 8.5 soln. of 1.5M NH4 fumarate [32378-54-4] contg. 1 mM MgSO4 was passed through the column at 37° and 1 vol./h. The conversion of fumarate to aspartate [56-84-8] was 98.2% on day 1, 99.4% on day 16, and decreased to 91.3% on day 151. .

Adsorption occurred both when the wool was passed through premixed latex and flocculant and the wool was passed through the flocculant soln. for 20 min before the latex was added. .
