DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 1 (Pharmacodynamics) Rats immunized with cholera vaccine, poly-L-glutamic acid [25513-46-6] adjuvant K, paratyphi B antigen, polyadenylic acid [24937-83-5], and heterologous DNA stimulated formation of antibodies (agglutinins, vibriocidal antibody, and phytohemagglutinin-sp. antibody), whereas prodigiosan [9057-00-5], cholostrol [62340-77-6], propolis [9009-62-5], and pyrogenal were generally inhibitory. In rabbits, antibody formation was stimulated by poly-L-glutamic acid, adjuvant K, nicotinic acid [59-67-6] and prodigiosan and was inhibited by contrical [11096-15-4]. In rabbits adjuvant K and poly-L-glutamic acid stimulated antibody formation whether the vaccine was given parenterally or orally. .
