Insecticidal activity of TIA-230 and ali-esterases in several insect species
Insecticidal activity of TIA-230 and ali-esterases in several insect species. Kono, Yoshiaki; Manabe, Yukiaki (Agric. Chem. Div., Takeda Chem. Ind., Kyoto 606, Japan). Takeda Kenkyushoho, 42(3/4), 330-7 (Japanese) 1983. CODEN: TAKHAA. ISSN: 0371-5167. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) Insecticidal activity of TIA-230 (O-[1-(4-chlorophenyl)-4-pyrazolyl] O-Et S-Pr phosphorothiolate) [89784-60-1] and influence of piperonyl butoxide (PB) [51-03-6] and Kitazin P (IBP) [26087-47-8] on its activity were investigated in 5 species of insects, Spodoptera litura, Plutella xylostella, Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata, Laodelphax striatellus, and Nephotettix cincticeps. The oxidized form of TIA-230 with phosphinyloxysulfonate group showed higher inhibitory activity against, acetylcholine esterase (AChE) [9000-81-1] of all insect species than TIA-230 itself. PB, an inhibitor of monooxygenase, showed neg. synergistic action in P. xylostella and H. vigintioctopunctata when it was co-applied with TIA-230. These results indicate oxidative activation of TIA-230 in insect body, but there was no correlation between the insecticidal activity and the anti-AChE activity of the oxidn. product. Synergistic action of IBP to TIA-230 was obsd. in adults of H. vigintioctopunctata, L. striatellus, and N. cincticeps which were less susceptible to TIA-230, and this synergism correlated well with strong aliesterase (AliE) [9016-18-6] inhibition in vivo and in vitro by IBP. In susceptible insect species, both the synergistic action and the AliE inhibition by IBP were weak or not obsd. at all.In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 51-03-6 and 26087-47-8 In N. cincticeps, activity of all AliE bands isolated by electrophoresis was strongly inhibited by TIA-230 in vitro. The characteristics of these AliE, strong affinity to TIA-230, and large capacity to conjugate with it might have a role in the tolerance of this species to TIA-230. .
Morphological and histochemical changes in the rat brain, induced by vincristine administered in early periods of postnatal development
Morphological and histochemical changes in the rat brain, induced by vincristine administered in early periods of postnatal development. Kozik, Miroslaw B.; Maziarz, Leslaw (Zakl. Neuropatol., Akad. Med., Poznan, Pol.). Folia Morphol. (Warsaw), 42(3), 199-216 (Polish) 1983. CODEN: FOMOAJ. ISSN: 0015-5659. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacology) Vincristine (I) [57-22-7] injected i.p. to rats on the 1st, 3rd, or 7th day of life in a dose of 0.01 mg/kg did not change enzymic activity of the rate brain on the 29th day, except for lowering the acetylcholinesterase (EC 3.1.1.7) (II) [9000-81-1] activity. I injected on the 14th, 21st, or 28th day of life reduced cerebral activity of II, non-specific esterase (EC 3.1.1.1) [9016-18-6], non-specific cholinesterase (EC 3.1.1.8) [9001-08-5], acid phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.2) [9001-77-8], and ATPase (EC 3.6.1.3) [9000-83-3]. Thiamine pyrophosphatase (EC 3.6.1.6) [9027-69-4] activity was increased and alk. phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.1) [9001-78-9] was unaffected.Except for chemicals metioned above, 57-22-7 and 9000-83-3 are also used. .
