The sheet showed 120% increase in vol. after immersion in H2O for 7 days, 86% retention of the initial swelling ratio after 30 wet-dry cycles (8 h in H2O, then 16 h in air, both at 50°), and no leakage when exposed to water at ￡6.0 kg/cm2 for 24 h.
