Their synthesis is described and their chem. structure confirmed by IR and NMR data. (±)-erythro-5-[(2',6'-Dichlorophenyl)hydroxymethyl]-6-methyl-4,5-dihy dro(2H)-3-pyridazinone (I) [91478-09-0] did not induce any significant hemodynamic changes. However, E-5-[(2',6'-dichlorobenzylidene)]-6-methyl-(2H,4H)-3-pyridazinone (II) [96355-92-9] i.v. injected, was active in anesthetized dogs. Moderate doses of II induced modifications in the heart rate, left ventricular dP/dt max and femoral blood flow and resistance.
