Thus, a mixt. of 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate [818-61-1] 929, methyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride [26590-20-5] 1328, and NaNO2 1.2 g was heated 3 h at 80-115° to give a half-ester [62073-18-1] with acid value 194. A mixt. of the half-ester 578, trimethylolpropane triglycidyl ether [3454-29-3] 450, and N,N-diethylcyclohexylamine (I) 1 g was heated 2.5 h at 100-25°, mixed with fumaric acid [110-17-8] 55.1, I 1, and NaNO2 0.4 g, and heated 3.5 h at 100-25°. A mixt. of the resulting polyfunctional monomer [67596-21-8] 60, 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate [923-26-2] 40, 2-ethylanthraquinone 1, and benzoin iso-Pr ether 1 g was stirred to give a photocurable resin.

(58% solids, viscosity 800 mPa.s) was used to impregnate elec. windings and hardened 3 h at 130° to give elec. insulation having good mech. and elec. properties.
