Elastin-derived peptides: structure, functions and mechanisms. Maeda, Iori; Briones, Maria Portia P.; Nishihara, Machiko; Kodama, Hiroaki; Kondo, Michio; Nezu, Takashi; Terada, Yoshihiro; Okamoto, Kouji (Department of Biochemical Engineering and Science, Kyushu Institute of Technology, Iizuka 820-8502, Japan). Peptide Science, Volume Date 2004, 40th, 31-34 (English) 2003 Japanese Peptide Society. CODEN: PSCIFQ. ISSN: 1344-7661. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 34 (Amino Acids, Peptides, and Proteins) Section cross-reference(s): 1 A symposium. The pentapeptide VPGVG and hexapeptide VGVAPG repeating sequences are primary structural features of elastin. The high polymer of VPGVG sequence (VPGVG)n and its analogs polypeptides (VPGV)n, (VPG)n and (PGVG)n were synthesized. It was found that only (V1P2G3V4G5)n has completely reversible coacervation property, suggesting the presence of hydrophobic interaction between side chains of Val and Pro. 92899-39-3 and 103584-76-5 which are cas registry numbers of substances are two of reagents here. The chemotactic activities of five pentapeptide and six hexapeptide permutations were investigated and as results, a pentapeptide VGVPG and four hexapeptides VGVAPG, GVAPGV, VAPGVG and GVGVAP were found to be chemotactic. Deactivation assay suggested that these chemotactic peptides were recognized by same receptor. .
Anti-aging material which can promote the synthesis of ceramide & anti-wrinkle material which utilizes combined effect of ceramide and matrikine
Anti-aging material which can promote the synthesis of ceramide & anti-wrinkle material which utilizes combined effect of ceramide and matrikine. Ohtera, Akio (R & D Lab., Croda Japan K. K., Shiga 529-1403, Japan). Fragrance Journal, 32(11), 59-64 (Japanese) 2004 Fureguransu Janaru Sha. CODEN: FUJAD7. ISSN: 0288-9803.In this article, certain chemicals are used. Some of their cas registry numbers are 528893-76-7 and 92899-39-3 DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal; General Review CA Section: 62 (Essential Oils and Cosmetics) A review. Ceramide in human skin plays important role in skin barrier function, and therefore it is important to prevent ceramide decrease in epidermis for maintaining skin integrity. For that sake there should be two approaches, one is to use active materials which can promote ceramide formation in human skin. The other is to apply skin care products which contain ceramide. Two cosmetic ingredients which can fit for these two approaches are introduced in this article. One is Venuceane, which is obtained by culturing a deep sea microorganism, Thermus thermophilus and is anti-aging and antioxidn. active material. Venuceane was found to promote ceramide formation in human skin. The second one is Dermaxyl, which is combined active material of ceramide II and matrikine, and is anti-wrinkle active material. .
