The adhesives have good resistance to water, heat, and chems. Thus, an adhesives suitable for screen printing comprised a mixt. of an epoxidized novolak (epoxy equiv. 175-185) 100, BuO(CH2CH2O)2Ac 40, toluylbiguanide [93-69-6] 9.4, melamine [108-78-1] 1.6, Aerosil 380 6, Modaflow flow improver 1.5, and Silane Z-6020 1.5 parts. The curing temp. of the adhesive was 160-190°.

After the NH3 smell disappears, the anal. plate is rinsed with a 1:1:2 mixt. of 10% solns. of FeCl3, K3Fe(CN)6, and water to produce dark-blue stains against a light background. The lower detection limit is 0.005 mg/L. The detn. error is 9.2 ± 1.3%.
